What's for Dinner?

I love creating new recipes and taking old recipe and revamping them. Last night I was trying to think of what to do with Easter Dinner leftovers and this is what I got.

Cooked three strips of bacon in a skillet. Crumb crisp bacon
Carmelized 1 large onion.
1" Cubes of Ham & Baked Sweet potatoes
Sauteed for 10 minutes

YUMMMMMMO!
Simple, Way Quick & Delicous!!!

That same Easter Ham is also being used to make a hugh pot of ham & beans for tonights dinner.

I love a great bargin: 1 Ham Shank (on sale $.79 lb. = $4.75)

Feed 7 people for Easter dinner
3 meals from the Ham & Sweet potatoes skillet
6+ meals from the ham & beans
plus there is still a little bit of ham left (will probably be cut up an used in an omelet tomorrow)

Divine Appointment

Saturday evening David and I were both restless we didn't know what we wanted to do. Being restless is kinda unusal for David & we can almost always come up with something to do or that needs to be done. We had rented a movie but it felt to early to settle end for the evening and watch a movie, it was to cold to do anything outside, we ate supper early, now what.... With some hesitation we dropped in unannounced on some friends. We realized that they had another car in their drive so we told each other we won't stay long if they have company.

Turns out that this friend did have a neighbor visiting but they insisted that we come in and stay. Her neighbor was struggling with something in her personal life which we didn't know anything about. She started asking David & I questions about our relationship with Christ. We both told her when we accepted Christ (at 8 & 18 years of age.... a hundred years ago) but we went on to say how amazing His is in our lives right now. How he takes care of us, provides for us abundantly, and the sweet joy and peace that only comes from Him. We just talked, we had no idea how God was using us. The next morning at church our friend quickly found David & I first thing to say Thank you stopping by, that our showing up unannounced was a divine appointment. Her friend had called her back later that night to say after talking to us she had reconsidered somethingsin her life. YAY! GOD!

In our conversation she asked if we had any home Bible study groups. David & I had planned to start one in January but hadn't...maybe the weather was our excuss... maybe the timing wasn't right. We told her we were planning to start one ...so now is the time.... Our first Bible study will be Friday night April 17 at 7:00pm We are going to start in the book of John.

So the next time you feel restless ask yourself could God be setting up a divine appointment?
